The Phillips 26PF5520D is arguably the most feature packed LCD you will find on the market for under £1000. Offering most features any one could ask for in a modern TV. It features built in digital Freeview and full HD compatibility. Ideal for a bedroom or study the 26PF5520D can comfortably and reliably function as a computer monitor. Limited picture quality means it is ideal for using in this function, and it also benefits from ‘cross source Picture in Picture’ meaning you can split the screen between two different sources i.e. watch TV whilst working as a monitor. As far as the quality of TV viewing is concerned the picture is blocky and you do get some colour bleed. A 16ms response time prevents too much smear whilst watching TV but if you’re a serious gamer you’ll find the TV struggles. The 26PF5520D benefits from a DVI input allowing for digital connectivity and 2 SCART sockets. The Black trim with side speakers makes this TV look a lot more expensive than it actually is; but for what it is, a mid range TV, it does a very good job for the price you pay.
