Panasonic TX26LXD600 26” HD Ready LCD TV Review

Within months of releasing the TX26LXD60 Panasonic have introduced its replacement model, suchProduct Image is their technological progress in this market. With advances in connectivity and quality Panasonic have taken another huge step forwards, priced around the £1000 mark the TX26LXD600 is expensive for its size but worth every penny. It offers superb sound and picture quality and comes in a stylish black trim finished with a splash of silver. The TX26LXD600 sports 2 side speakers, compared to the one base speaker of older models, which provides a much wider sound stage and quality. The new front panel technology widens the viewing angle of this TV to 180 degrees and makes it much more flexible with regards to placements and seating. Featuring both digital and analogue tuners and accessibility to ‘Top up TV’ via the CI card slot, the options are endless. Digital connectivity is provided in the form of two HDMI cables so users can connect to up to three HD sources if you include component inputs. For all those people still working in analogue, the TX26LXD600 features three SCART sockets two of which are RGB so all the old video players can still connect. The only downside to this TV is the sheer size and weight, in incorporating all the new features the TV has consequently gained a few KG in weight and is a lot bulkier than its predecessor. Besides that the TX26LXD600 is a quality purchase, although you pay a lot more money than competitors in the same size bracket you get what you pay for, a vastly superior TV.
